Stallholder
Morning, love! What can I get you?
You
Good morning. I'd like a kilo of tomatoes, please. What have you got?
-
Stallholder
I've got cherry tomatoes and beef tomatoes. The beef ones are lovely and meaty today.
You
I'll have the beef tomatoes, then. They're better for salad.
-
Stallholder
There you go, a generous kilo. Anything else?
You
Yes, have you got any strawberries? I thought I saw some earlier.
-
Stallholder
Yes! The strawberries are from Kent, and they're gorgeous. How many would you like?
You
Half a kilo is fine. How much are they?
-
Stallholder
They're four pounds a kilo, so two pounds for half a kilo. And that's the tomatoes as well?
You
The tomatoes... how much are those today?
-
Stallholder
Tomatoes are two pounds twenty a kilo. That's four pounds twenty altogether.
You
What a good price! Here's a five-pound note.
-
Stallholder
Thank you. Here's your change. Enjoy!
You
Thank you! They look wonderful. See you next time!
