Doctor
Good morning. Please take a seat. What seems to be the problem?
You
Good morning. I've had a sore throat and a cough for two days.
-
Doctor
I see. Do you have a temperature?
You
A little. Last night it was thirty-eight degrees.
-
Doctor
Let me take a look. Open your mouth wide and say "ah".
You
OK. Ah... Does it look red?
-
Doctor
A little, yes. It's a throat infection. Are you allergic to any medicine?
You
No, as far as I know I'm not allergic to anything.
-
Doctor
Good. I'll prescribe an antibiotic. Take one tablet three times a day for a week.
You
All right. Should I take it before or after meals?
-
Doctor
After meals. And drink plenty of water. Do you have any other questions?
You
Yes. Can I go to work tomorrow, or do I need to rest?
-
Doctor
I'd stay at home for two days and rest. If it doesn't get better, come back and see me.
You
Thank you very much, doctor. I'll stay at home. Goodbye!
Now say it for real.
