How to play
- Five Chinese words appear face-up with their English meanings — tap any card to hear it, and memorise the set before the timer runs out.
- The cards flip face-down for a moment, then the words come back — but one of them is now missing.
- Compare what came back with what you memorised, and tap the word that disappeared.
- Get it right and the word is read aloud; recall six words a round and aim for perfect recall.
Questions
Is this Chinese memory game free?
Yes — it plays in your browser with no sign-up. Sign in only if you want to save the words to your review deck and track your best score.
How does it help me learn Chinese?
Recalling which word disappeared forces you to actively retrieve the vocabulary from memory — a far stronger way to learn than just re-reading a list.
Can I practise one topic?
Yes. Use the theme picker to draw the words from a single category — animals, food, the home and more.
