  2. Work out what each word means, then tap the one that doesn't belong.
  3. The answer turns green and every card reveals its picture, and the intruder is read aloud.
  4. Spot the odd one out in six puzzles to finish the round.

Questions

Why are there no pictures until I answer?

A picture would give the answer away. Reading the Chinese cold is the point: it makes you retrieve the meaning from memory, which is the step that actually builds recall.

How does this help me learn instruments in Chinese?

Recognising that three words share a topic and a fourth doesn't means you have to know all four, not just one.

Is this Chinese instruments game free?

Yes β€” it plays in your browser with no sign-up. Sign in only if you want to save the words to your review deck.
