How to play

1. A short Chinese story appears — four or five simple sentences about everyday life.
2. Read it, then answer the comprehension questions by choosing the right Chinese word or phrase.

4. Answer all the questions to finish the story, then move on to the next.

• 我早上七点起床。 wǒ zǎoshàng qī diǎn qǐchuáng. — I get up at seven in the morning.
• 八点吃早饭，我喝牛奶，吃面包。 bā diǎn chī zǎofàn, wǒ hē niúnǎi, chī miànbāo. — At eight I have breakfast: I drink milk and eat bread.
• 九点去学校，下午四点回家。 jiǔ diǎn qù xuéxiào, xiàwǔ sì diǎn huíjiā. — At nine I go to school and at four in the afternoon I go home.
• 晚上我看书，十点睡觉。 wǎnshàng wǒ kànshū, shí diǎn shuìjiào. — In the evening I read and at ten I go to sleep.
• 这个周末天气很好。 zhège zhōumò tiānqì hěn hǎo. — The weather is very good this weekend.
• 我和朋友去公园玩。 wǒ hé péngyou qù gōngyuán wán. — My friend and I go to the park to play.
• 公园里有很多人，也有很多花。 gōngyuán lǐ yǒu hěn duō rén, yě yǒu hěn duō huā. — There are many people in the park, and many flowers too.
• 我们在那儿走了一个小时。 wǒmen zài nàr zǒu le yí ge xiǎoshí. — We walk there for an hour.
• 然后我们去饭店吃了面条。 ránhòu wǒmen qù fàndiàn chī le miàntiáo. — Then we go to a restaurant and eat noodles.
• 小明有一只猫，它的名字叫咪咪。 Xiǎomíng yǒu yì zhī māo, tā de míngzì jiào Mīmī. — Xiao Ming has a cat. Its name is Mimi.
• 咪咪是白色的，眼睛很大。 Mīmī shì báisè de, yǎnjing hěn dà. — Mimi is white and has big eyes.
• 它喜欢吃鱼，也喜欢睡觉。 tā xǐhuan chī yú, yě xǐhuan shuìjiào. — It likes to eat fish, and it likes to sleep too.
• 每天晚上，咪咪睡在小明的床上。 měitiān wǎnshàng, Mīmī shuì zài Xiǎomíng de chuángshàng. — Every night Mimi sleeps on Xiao Ming's bed.
• 今天星期六，我和妈妈去商店。 jīntiān xīngqī liù, wǒ hé māma qù shāngdiàn. — Today is Saturday. Mum and I go to the shop.
• 我们买了苹果、水和面包。 wǒmen mǎi le píngguǒ, shuǐ hé miànbāo. — We buy apples, water and bread.
• 苹果五块钱，水三块钱，面包四块钱。 píngguǒ wǔ kuài qián, shuǐ sān kuài qián, miànbāo sì kuài qián. — The apples are five yuan, the water three yuan and the bread four yuan.
• 妈妈给了他二十块钱。 māma gěi le tā èrshí kuài qián. — Mum gives him twenty yuan.
• 我们回家的时候，天上下雨了。 wǒmen huíjiā de shíhòu, tiānshàng xiàyǔ le. — When we go home, it is raining.
• 我家有四个人：爸爸、妈妈、哥哥和我。 wǒ jiā yǒu sì ge rén: bàba, māma, gēge hé wǒ. — There are four people in my family: Dad, Mum, my older brother and me.
• 爸爸是医生，妈妈是老师。 bàba shì yīshēng, māma shì lǎoshī. — Dad is a doctor and Mum is a teacher.
• 哥哥今年二十岁，他是大学生。 gēge jīnnián èrshí suì, tā shì dàxuéshēng. — My brother is twenty this year and he is a university student.
• 我今年十二岁，我喜欢看书。 wǒ jīnnián shí'èr suì, wǒ xǐhuan kànshū. — I am twelve this year and I like reading.
• 我们家有一只小狗，它很可爱。 wǒmen jiā yǒu yì zhī xiǎogǒu, tā hěn kě'ài. — We have a little dog at home. It is very cute.
