Speaking · say it aloud

Spanish Pronunciation.

Medium

Hear the word, then say it out loud — your browser listens and checks your pronunciation. The only game here that practises speaking.

Score Round · Q / 🔥

Live speaking check needs Google Chrome. Here you can still listen and practise saying each word, then mark it done.

Live speech checking only works in Google Chrome — Edge, Brave and others share Chrome's engine but can't reach the speech service (that's the “network” error). Switched you to listen-and-practise; for the real check, open this page in Google Chrome.

How to play

  1. A Spanish word appears with its picture and meaning, and is read aloud — tap 🔊 Listen to hear it again.
  2. Tap 🎤 Speak and say the word out loud. Your browser's speech recognition transcribes what you said.
  3. If it matches, you score; if not, you see what it heard and can try again, or reveal and move on.
  4. Practise eight words per round.

Questions

Which browsers support the speaking check?

Live speech recognition works in Google Chrome (desktop and Android), which has the speech service built in. Other browsers — including Edge, Brave, Safari and Firefox — switch to listen-and-repeat practice instead. You'll be asked to allow microphone access the first time.

Does it need my accent to be perfect?

No — matching is lenient and ignores accents and articles, so getting the word recognisably right is enough. It's about building confidence speaking.

Is my voice stored?

No. Recognition happens through your browser; Pinglingo only sees whether the word matched. Nothing is recorded or saved.
