How to play
- Read the English word at the top — that is the clue.
- A crane trolley swings left and right along the top rail, carrying one block with a Spanish word on it. Your tower stands in the middle.
- Tap the scene, or press Space, Enter or the down arrow, to drop the block. Drop it only when the word is the translation of the clue and the block is over the tower.
- The right word over the tower lands on the stack and clears the clue. The right word dropped off to the side falls in the water — no heart lost, but the clue is no longer clean, and the right word comes round again.
- A wrong word dropped costs a heart and shows you the right one; a wrong word left to swing by is free. Build a six-block tower before your five hearts run out — you hear each Spanish word spoken.

Questions
Is this Spanish crane game free?
Yes — Word Crane plays in your browser, on a phone or a computer, with no sign-up. Sign in only to save the words you meet to your review deck.
Do I lose a heart if I miss the right block?
No. Letting the right block swing by costs nothing; the right word comes round again within a few blocks. It only means the clue no longer counts as clean.
What happens if I drop a wrong word?
You lose a heart and your streak resets. The right word is shown and read out, and the same clue stays, so you can still finish it — but it no longer counts as a clean clue.
Can I practise one topic?
Yes. Use the theme picker to draw the words from a single category — animals, food, the home and more.
